Principal & Creative Director
Chuck graduated in 1978 from the renowned Sheridan College Classical Animation program . His first job was as an animator at Hanna-Barbera Studios in Hollywood CA, working on several TV series including Super Friends and The New Flinstones. He then came back to Toronto to work at Nelvana on numerous half hour specials then on to their feature production Rock and Rule directed by Clive Smith.
From there he worked as animator and director at Bob Fortier's Animation House on various commercials.
Chuck then moved to London, England where he first worked with the very talented designer/director Mike Smith at MGMM London on the feature film Highlander (1986), as well as music videos for Queen and Grace Jones. For the next year he worked as an animator on various commercials for Oscar Grillo ( Kalcto Animation) and Geoff Dunbar ( Grand Slam Animation ) and finally on to Oscar winning director Richard William's studio working on commercials, which eventually led him to the position of animation supervisor on the ground breaking feature film Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
He then became the Director of Animation at Passion Pictures where he created award winning commercials for Wheatabix and Burger King among others. He then had the good fortune to work with Bill and Sue Kroyer ( Kroyer Films) on their feature film "FernGully" as a supervising animator, and then rejoined Mike Smith in San Francisco at Colossal Pictures where he worked on various commercials.
Chuck decided to move back to Canada and to Nelvana as a director of feature film development. In 1996 Chuck opened his own studio, Chuck Gammage Animation, working with Warner Brothers Animation on sequences for the feature film Space Jam (1996) and then on to producing many commercials for clients such as Kelloggs, Ford, Old Navy, Coke, Tim Hortons, Office Depot, Teletoon etc .
Currently the studio is concentrating on animation and design for TV series work and other long format projects.
Head of Production
Linda Redlack is a Sheridan Animation graduate with a love of animated Classics and New-Aged styles.
She currently works with the studio as their Production Manager, with the ability to meld orderliness, creativity and animation knowledge she has been a key aid in pushing projects forward.
Anna graduated from the University of Toronto with an honours degree in Art History and minors in English Literature and Environmental Studies.
She now works at Chuck Gammage Animation as the Production Coordinator, organizing and facilitating new and exciting projects.
